Donate Life Design

The main idea that inspired this artwork was organ and tissue donation. I wanted to create an image that included the heart symbol as well as a positive message. It took me a while to think of a slogan, but it included a positive message. "Be The Ray in Someone's Day" means to help out someone, be the sun, by donating an organ. It's life-changing, and the sun symbolizes this. This further influenced the ideas of the two people holding hands with a heart, a sign of connection and hope, and the sun shining down with the hearts. I chose light expressive happy colors, mostly pastels, and brights, and finished the painting.

The materials I used this for was a canvas sheet, graphite pencil, and acrylic paint.

The process to make this included many things. I started with the idea generation sketch. I had the same idea for both just different placing with the words and symbols. I started with cutting out the canvas and sketching my idea on it. I followed up with acrylic paint, starting with the blue sky, then the sun, clouds, and people. To do the lettering I went through a couple of difficulties. I started with choosing which one I'd like, with was the rub-on letters. I put them in the sun. Afterward, I couldn't find small lettering for the "Organ and Tissue Donation" I searched for a very long time and had to use different ones for the to 'ss" in tissue. This is what I'd change for next time, I'd make sure I have all the same lettering.
