Independantly Designed

The main idea that guided this artwork was the inspiration of dandelions. I saw a couple of photos online that were pastel and ombre with a contrast of flowers. I wanted to do something like this with the black dandelions and a sunset fading into the black sky. The mood was cheerful and mystical, with white splattered stars. Not only this but flowering against the sky, makes it pop out.

The material I used were acrylic paint, paint brushes, and sharpie.

The creative process included choosing what I wanted to do. I wanted something that was fun, cheerful, and represented a small snippet of my skills. I decided on a colorful version of dandelions. After choosing this I realized I didn't know much about creating an ombre, so I watched a tutorial on youtube. With the dandelion I used the technique of squishing the brush the create puffs. The end I felt like something was missing, and thats when I added the white paint splatters.
