Competition Entries
For this project we are entering our art into another competition. We were instructed to create a project, using any material, that had the slogan, "with organ and tissue donation...". For my project I wanted to make my slogan match my drawing. I decided to create a puzzle, and came up with the slogan, "your organ could be someone's missing piece... complete their puzzle with organ and tissue donation." I created my project using colored pencil and sharpie for the letters. The hardest part of this project was drawing the organs to be realistic, and placing them so the attention was focused on them. I solved this problem by placing the organs in the middle of the puzzle pieces, and then, outlining the organs in sharpie so it would stand out. Overall, I am really happy with my final product because I was able to create my own slogan, as well as create art work from a slogan. Something that was really special about this project was the fact we had the opportunity to create art to help convince people to save lives. I really enjoyed working on this project, and it was a lot of fun!
For this Art project we entered artwork for the competition "Doodle for Google". This competition is for the cover page of google when you open up the browser. The prompt for this year was, "In the future I hope....". For my project I decided to make my piece about climate change because in the future I hope to see a cleaner earth. I enjoyed this project because I really liked having a prompt to base my artwork off of. It was really fun to brain storm with such a wide topic, and it was cool to see what my peers responded to the prompt with. The materials I used for my project was colored pencil. My favorite part of my project is my first "o" because I really liked how I got all my little stick figures around it. Overall, I am happy with the result of this project, mainly because it was a lot of fun.
