Charcoal + Ink

For this art project we took one of our own photos and were instructed to create a grid drawing using charcoal and ink. I choses this picture to create as my project because it had cool textures and highlights I could create. For this art project we learned how to map out a grid drawing as well as enlarging it. During this project I also perfected drawing and blending charcoal, as well as ink. for me the hardest part was getting the texture and the highlights of the water right. It took a lot of blending and layering to get the right texture, and highlights. overall I am happy with the outcome of my project because I really feel comfortable using charcoal and ink in my projects and how to manipulate them to create textures in my art work. I am also proud of the fact that I drew my image square by square instead of drawing it ll in one piece.
