Undercover Spirit Week

Hello all!! It's time for our final Undercover Spirit Week of the year!! 🙌🙌🙌 We will be doing this on Teacher Appreciation week-figured during the ISATs would be a nightmare for us all! LOL

• Monday May 4-Monochrome Monday (wear all of one color)

• Tuesday May 5-Tattoosday (load up on your fake tattoos!! Don't worry, I'll get lots!)

• Wednesday May 6-Hat day 

• Thursday May 7-Rep your college

• Friday May 8-vacation gear (interpret that how you want!)

I really hope that many of you participate in this 😊I reached out to several people to get input on the days so they were easy to do, fun, and cheap. 

As always-keep it a secret!! Don't tell the kids, act like it's all normal. We will do pictures every morning on the front steps at 8am. I hope you join in the fun, and yes, I will send out another reminder as it gets closer.

ISAT Prep Week + PD April 17

Grade Level Assemblies This Week

We have 3 assemblies this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This is to review ISATs and Attendance Blitz from April 20 - May 1 with students along with some Spring Issues. 

ISAT Staff Meeting - Wednesday, April 15 - Library 3:00-3:30

Grades & Professional Learning for April 17

The morning of Friday, April 17 is scheduled for grades. Lunch is from 12:00-12:30. 

We will start professional learning at 12:30. Location is TBD at this time. It has been suggested that there will be a district wide training that will take place for parentguidance.org with the Cook center. This will be a Zoom/Meets call. On Tuesday, district admin will work out the details and I will share an update as soon as possible on our starting location and time of the training. 

Additionally, ELA & Social Studies will be at the district office for curriculum development learning. 

We will have electives, math, and science at JMS. At our Guiding Coalition meeting we discussed how we will be using this time on Friday, and I will share updated guidance as soon as possible. 

Staff Meeting for ISATS

We will have a staff meeting on Wednesday, April 15 at 3:00-3:30 in the library.

Principal mid year Feedback & Staff/Family Engagement Surveys

Attached below are the results from the mid year feedback from this year and last year. I have compiled them together for overall results. 

What is compiled is a summary of all question results as well as commentary for areas of strength, areas for improvements, and any other comments.

I would like to see all of us at Jenifer complete something like this with the students we work with everyday. It is so useful to review feedback as a source for growth. 

It may not come as a surprise, but one area that needs development is student behavior. 

Thank you all for the feedback, I will work to make improvements and to hold on to the areas of strength.

I am currently in the process of sharing results from our family and staff engagement surveys. What is attached below are the summary to questions asked. I will be updating these data points, but wanted to share these results as soon as possible. We still need to look at the student results.
