Awards night was great! It's fun to celebrate the students hard work over the course of the year and in some cases the course of Middle School with the Presidential Awards. Thanks to all the staff members who contributed to making the night a huge success. My feeling is that we can either start a little earlier for next year or possibly have these in the morning. I'd love to hear your thoughts for adjustments.
The end of the year party is scheduled to be held at Ms. Wolf's house. This will be on the last day of school. Start time is to be determined.

What an amazing celebration for Teacher Appreciation Week!
Huge thanks to all the folks that made the week special for our teacher. Heather, you organized an awesome lunch service on Friday! It reminded me of the Dabbawala in Mumbai! Thanks to Brandee and Amanda for organizing the BBQ and Nachos on Monday and Wednesday! Thanks to Quinn and Mike for cooking up some awesome burgers and withstanding all the smoke.
Teachers make a huge difference in the lives of our students. Thank you for your patience and guidance as you support our kids through Middle School!
I know it's an old video but it's one of my favorites.
You may have heard about one of our substitutes that was in Art class last week and some inappropriate language that was used by that teacher. Thank you to the staff members who brought this situation to my attention immediately so it could be investigated. It is important to remember that many of our substitutes have not been formally trained as teachers. They do not have the classroom management strategies that we have developed or are unaware of PBIS. We need to support these subs as best we can and provide them with guidance for working with our students.

As we near the end of the year, we need to complete our teacher evaluations. We have 3 weeks to complete these evaluations.
I worked with Ms. Schumacher and Ms. McFarland last week to work through a process that I am used to for completing evaluations.
You will need to access Google Classroom and find the assignment "Teacher Evaluation". You will find the educator evaluation plan rubric. Please complete a self-evaluation of your current performance by highlighting the domain and strands found on pages 8-15.
Link to assignment: https://classroom.google.com/c/NjE2OTMyNzU5Nzg4/a/NjgxNzg2MDk5ODg3/details
Please block a 30min time to meet with me between Monday, May 13 and Friday, May 31. Please use the scheduler below to block a meeting time with me.
Please be sure to complete the IPLP Reflection and the Domain 5 Reflection. Ms. Wolf has been kind enough to share how she has completed these two important pieces for the evaluation process.

We will combine May and June for the last student of the month recognition.
We'll, do the certificates and the posters for publicity
Thank you for taking a few minutes to complete the feedback that I requested. This form was shared with me from the district office. I have shared the results here for your review.
Thank you for your patience and support this year. I am lucky to be able to come into this role and be surrounded by so many great educators and staff members who care deeply for our school and wider community.
I have always taken a growth mindset approach to my work and know that I can always improve. Seeking feedback from you will help me work to improve. When I was a teacher, I always collected feedback like this from my students. I am curious how many of our staff members do the same? Do you share results with your students as well? If you don't collect feedback from students, I would be curious as to why?
