Course Description: In this hands-on class, we will explore the exciting world of 3D printing using the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon printer in Southwestern's 3D Print Studio. This class is designed for all and NO experience at all is needed.
The class will cover:
The Basics of 3D Printing: Learn the terminology used and the process with the different printers in Southwestern's 3D Print Studio.
Finding and Modifying Models: Discover a wealth of free 3D models that can be printed as-is or customized to suit your needs. You will also learn about some of the applications/apps to modify and/or create your own designs.
Ready to Print: Preparing your model to print, how to change filaments, choosing a profile, and then ... print !!!
Post-Processing: Explore creative ways to enhance your prints, such as gluing parts together, painting, or adding finishing touches for functional or decorative use.
