A graphic design company have been asked to create a range of electronic and printed promotional graphics for a travel agent. Layouts for a travel app are shown below. a. Explain, giving two reasons, why a limited colour palette and simple graphics have been used for the travel app layouts. (2 marks)

No single colour dominates the layout, which creates a less busy/modern/calm layout
Consistent use of blue OR orange creates unity in the layout
Consistent use of blue OR orange creates harmony in the layout
Use of orange contrasts with the blue, which makes areas stand out
Reference to simple colours (such as the blues and orange) allows the graphics to stand out
Reference to simple graphics (such as chair symbols) allows the user to interpret the layout more easily
