Used well, transitions help a video flow more naturally, guide the viewer’s attention, and enhance the overall storytelling. Whether switching between two locations, dramatically ending a scene, or linking moments in a montage, transitions are the glue that holds your visual story together.

- Because of its small file size, it helped videos load and play more easily on older phones with limited storage and processing power.

This is achieved by storing only the changes between each video frame, instead of saving every frame in full, a technique known as interframe compression.
What is it used for?
- MPEG is a popular choice for distributing video online, especially when fast streaming and small file sizes are important.
- Because of its efficient compression, videos in MPEG format can be streamed or downloaded more quickly than many other formats, making it ideal for web content, digital TV, and DVDs.
- Despite the compression, MPEG files can still deliver good visual quality, especially for standard definition videos.
