CAD simulation is the use of computer software to test, predict, or imitate how a design would behave in real life. Instead of physically building and testing a product straight away, designers and engineers can run virtual tests in a realistic simulated environment. This saves time, reduces costs, and helps spot problems early in the design process. Simulation is used in many areas, from training pilots in dangerous scenarios to testing bridges and buildings in civil engineering to simulating car crashes during vehicle design to check safety. By using CAD simulation, designers gain valuable information about performance, strength, and safety before committing to real-world production or trials.
