THE TRINITY TRIANGLE

Part Two

The triangle is the most basic possible shape in all geometry. Its importance in the fields of geometry and trigonometry cannot be understated, as its basic nature is logically interconnected and gives rise to an entire host of mathematical principles on which the modern scientific understanding is based.

The concept of the monotheistic Trinity is unique to the religion of Christianity. At the core of Trinitarianism, we find a statement that precisely parallels the essential nature of the triangle itself. A Triune God is three in one; a geometric triangle is three sides in one shape.

The triangle has for centuries been used as an aid in the understanding and representation of the Trinity as a theological concept. Moreover, Christian artists throughout the ages have long recognized this parallel and have employed the triangle in the composition of their work, as seen below.

There is however a third category in which the sacred text of the Bible can produce meaningful and highly improbable mathematical correlations. This category is the geometry of the triangle itself.

The rules governing the nature of a triangle are amongst the most important aspects of geometry and are foundational to many of its operations. Geometric triangulation is still in use by surveyors in all fields of science. It is the nature of the triangle that allows us to precisely know the height of a mountain without a tape measure or an accurate appraisal of the distance to the stars.

The formula for finding the area of a triangle is basic geometry and is as elegant as it elemental.

Area of Triangle = (Base Length) x (Height) x 0.5

This is of immediate interest to the study of the mathematics of the Bible. For when we employ this formula using the gematria of the two primary names of God in Hebrew we find a surprising solution.

יהוה = Yahweh (Lord) = 26

אלהים = Elohim (God) = 86

26 (Lord) x 86 (God) x 0.5 = 1,118

Deuteronomy 6:4

Hear O Israel, the Lord Our God is one Lord = 1,118

This verse is of the highest possible importance to the practicing Jew, who holds it in the highest esteem as their holiest prayer. Devout Jews are required to recite it twice daily. But it is not just important to Judaism. Though perhaps forgotten or overlooked by many Christians, Jesus himself declared the verse to be thee first of all commandments.

Mark 12:29

And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear O Israel; The Lord Our God is one Lord.

The historical texts of the Bible were originally composed in the languages of Hebrew and Greek, both of which contained a historical linguistic curiosity. Each language had no separate characters for numbers as we do today with the Hindu/Arabic numeral system. Rather, these languages repurposed the letters of their alphabets as numbers. This is called gematria.

Due to this fact, we can with 100% confidence assign certain numerical values to words, verses and passages of the historical text, wherein we have no contradictory readings. The surviving manuscripts of the New Testament contain many such slight variations, but the whole of the text is vastly more consistent than it is inconsistent, whereby we can confidently employ these large blocks of consistent text.

The Old Testament, in the form of the codified Masoretic Text, is far more consistent than the New and where scribal error or variation has occurred, it has been marked and corrected by later scribes. Knowing this, we can analyze much of the text as pure number and glean from it mathematical patterns.

It is of further note that there are two primary forms of gematria that are historically verifiable, in which we can enumerate the text. The first as noted earlier is the standard numeration that was in common use amongst the Jews and Greeks during the composition of the text. As shown below.

As one can see in the Standard Greek table, the letters F and Q are omitted as they had long fell out of use in Greek at the time of the composition of the New Testament and moreover were not considered at the time nor since to be included in the standard table of gematria. This proves doubly so in the second primary code of gematria called the Ordinal, which is simply based upon the place-order of the letters of the two alphabets.

We can, withal confidence, employ the ordinal along with the standard as they are historically linked and verifiable. The order of both alphabets was long ago codified and has never changed.

There is however a more compelling reason to believe that the standard and ordinal coding systems are the primary Decodes of the Holy Scriptures. Much of the work in Biblical Gematria of the last twenty years has focused on the mathematical patterns in the first verse of the Bible.

There are two fundamental mathematical features of the first verse that are telling. The first is, how it is persuasively triangular, being that a triangle is the perfect representation of the Christian Trinity. The first verse (Genesis 1:1) is triangular in the following ways, which are in no way exhaustive.

The Hebrew standard gematric sum of Genesis 1:1 is 2,701 which is the 73rd Triangle, that is, a mathematical triangle composed of 73 rows of 2,701 units.

The 28 letters of the first verse form the 7th mathematical triangle.

The first letter of the Bible (Beth) forms the first natural triangle of three.

The 28 letters of the first verse when expanded into their ancient spelled out Talmudic versions form a triangle of 78 letters, being the 12th triangle.

The second most telling feature of Genesis 1:1 is the fact that the prime factorization of the first verse is 37 x 73. This is far more important than it might first appear to be, to those unaware of the basic tenets of Number Theory.

Prime factorization is the fundamental building blocks of all mathematics and number theory. Euclid, one of the great fathers of mathematics, proved in his Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic, that every number in existence is either prime or has two or more factors that are prime, a prime number being only divisible by one and itself.

This principal is so foundationally important to number itself and hence the mathematics that underscore much of our technological world today, that to question it would be to question the very viability of truth itself. Questioning truth itself is of course a contradiction in logic, and is an impossibility in its own right. For without truth we could make no claim whatsoever, including the claim that there was no truth.

From Euclid’s Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic, we know that every possible number that is, has a unique prime factorization which is the numbers unique identity. So it is of great importance that the very first verse of the Bible displays a remarkable mathematical identity in its unique prime factorization.

A child will immediately recognize the pattern in these prime factors.

37 x 73 = 2,701

These are better known as reflective primes, that however, is only just the tip of the iceberg of how deep these patterns run through-out the entire scripture of the Hebrew and Greek Bibles. As we can begin to see with the following examples:

חכמה = 37 = Wisdom (Hebrew Ordinal)

חכמה = 73 = Wisdom (Hebrew Standard)

מבוכה = 37 = Puzzle (Hebrew Ordinal)

מבוכה = 73 = Puzzle (Hebrew Standard)

ישו = 37 = Jesus (Modern Hebrew Ordinal)

הנוצרי = 73 = Christ (Modern Hebrew Ordinal)

This pattern then displays with some clarity that the primary coding systems of the Bible are to be found in the standard and ordinal numerations.

יהוה = Yahweh (Lord) = 26

אלהים = Elohim (God) = 86

26 (Lord) x 86 (God) x 0.5 = 1,118

Deuteronomy 6:4

Hear O Israel, the Lord Our God is one Lord = 1,118

We can now return to the initial example of the geometric triangulation using the two primary names of God in Hebrew. Taking the following as the statistical parameters of the above equation, we can show that it is statistically nigh impossible that the above equation could occur by chance.

• Yahweh (Lord) is the most primary name of God in the Hebrew Scriptures

• Elohim (God) is the second most primary name in the Hebrew Scriptures

According to Strong’s Concordance the proper name Yahweh (יהוה) typically translated as ‘Lord’ occurs 6,220 times. The second primary name Elohim (אלהים) always translated as ‘God’ occurs 2,598 times. The next nearest name of God in the Old Testament is Adonai, which Strong’s lists as only having 448 occurrences. That is a precipitous drop off from 2,000 and 6,000.

Other authorities and references may vary in these numbers, but with only a slight margin of error. Nearly all authorities list Yahweh at over 6,000, Elohim over 2,000 and the next nearest name Adonai somewhere in the low 400’s.

It is of further note, that these are not only the most commonly used names for God in the Old Testament, they are also commonly used together in the epithet ‘Lord God’ which we continue to see being used in the New Testament.

יהוה אלהים = Lord God (Hebrew)

Κυριος Θεος = Lord God (Greek)

The third parameter is the primary nature of the Shema to one or more religions, in this instance, Judaism and Christianity. In Judaism, as attested by all authorities, the Shema is thee most important prayer to the devout Jew. It is the central prayer of the Jewish religious service and its twice daily recitation is considered a religious commandment.

For the Christian Religion, there is the testimony of the founder of the religion Jesus Christ in Mark 12:29.

Mark 12:29

And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear O Israel; The Lord Our God is one Lord.

In either case strong if not indisputable arguments can be made for the primacy of this prayer to either religion.

This then gives us the following statistical parameters. If we pick any two words at random from the Old Testament, what are the chances that they would produce the exact sum of the most important prayer in that religion?

Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance lists 8,674 separate words used in the Old Testament. Out of those 8,674 only two perfectly conform in their precise meaning, their primary dictionary form and their alphanumeric value for being the two primary names of God in the Old Testament. This then gives us our two first parameters.

1 in 8,674 = 0.0115%

To render the second variable of the equation we take that same percentage and multiply by itself.

(0.0115%) x (0.0115%) = 0.00000132%

Already the chances of this occurring randomly are around ONE in a 100 Million. The book ‘A Compilation of Jewish Prayers and Blessings’ by Linda Alchin, lists over 50 prayers which is assuredly a massive undersampling for a religion that has a prayer for almost every function and feature of the day. Nevertheless this would once more make the odds of these variables coming together so perfectly, as to be astronomically improbable, and now could easily be one in a trillion.

However, the study of truth (which is science) does not accord itself to anomalies. Any single event, nor matter how improbable (even one in a trillion) could still be an single statistical outlier and thereby an anomaly.

The question then follows can this singular formula, so foundational to the mathematics of geometry and trigonometry, which are in and of themselves foundational to our scientific understanding of the modern world, reproduce similarly improbable outcomes?

Here now we will use two primary Godnames, this time both in the ordinal and one in Hebrew and one in Greek.

אלהים = God/ Elohim (Ordinal) = 41

Θεος = God/ Theos (Ordinal) = 46

41 (God) x 46 (God) x 0.5 = 943

Psalm 23:1

(A Psalm of David)

The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want. = 943

By all accounts and listings the 23rd Psalm is the most famous psalm of the Old Testament. What are the chances that the two primary names in Greek and Hebrew for God would result in the first verse of the most famous Psalm of the Bible?

Once again Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance lists 5,624 individual words in the New Testament and the Old Testament has 8,674.

1 in 5,624 = 0.0177%

1 in 8,674 = 0.0115%

(0.0177%) x (0.0115%) = 0.00000204%

There are 150 Psalms listed in both Christian and Hebrew Bibles.

1 in 150 = 0.666%

(0.00000204%) x (0.666%) = 0.0000000136%

0.0000000136% = 1 in 10 Billion

Here again we find an astronomically high improbability of one in ten billion. That two such events could occur in the same sacred volume would mean to multiply the percentages again together, making these extraordinarily improbable events exponentially improbable.

(0.00000132%) x (0.0000000136%) = 0.000000000000000180%

0.000000000000000180% = 1 in a Quintillion

Indeed, with every additional improbability using this equation and standardized components from the text, we would further make such events exponentially and ever more astronomically improbable.

Some may quibble with the minor margins of the statistical parameters. This however in no way really alters the exponentially statistical improbabilities of these events, because their magnitudes are of such a high degree and only continue to expand exponentially, that quibbling over statistical parameters has negligible effect as a criticism.

The triangular evidence seen here for the supernatural inspiration of the Holy Word of God is by no means exhaustive. In this Appendix are listed even more such triangulations, listed here in no particular order.

The first however is related to the mathematical series which ends the paper on the seven strong Greek names of God. The careful observer will have noticed that the series was missing the EIGHTH strongest name being that of ‘Son.’ Here then is the TRINITY of the SON.
