Oracle of Obadiah

The Oracle of Obadiah

The book of Obadiah is the shortest book of the Bible at just one chapter and 21 verses. If the Bible was a body, this would be its appendix. The book follows a familiar pattern of many of the prophets, with a lament for the sufferings and calamities of the people and a final and ultimate victory through the Lord.

Biblically and theologically speaking this book is simply not surpassingly important. This scriptural after-thought, however, has been holding and hiding a puzzle of the Lord God in plain sight for thousands of years.

The book has 21 verses, which as we have seen is a rebus puzzle of the Trinity, in that 21 is the sum of the ‘I am’ of God’s name, making the triangle the Trinity.

אהיה = I am = 21

21 = Triangle = Trinity

I am Trinity

The number of words in the book is suggestive. The puzzles of the Bible typically are associated with numbers that have powerful names or concepts attached. The more powerful the name/number usually means the more powerful the puzzle. The number of words in Obadiah are 291 a strong number by any merit as it ends the first verse of the Bible.

Earth (ארץ) Gen. 1:1 = 291

Words in Obadiah = 291

This seems fitting for a book the likes of Obadiah, as it is full of the wickedness of man on the earth. But the 291 has other secondary associations that suggest that it is God who upholds and sustains the earth. These correlations come via the ancient spellings of the letters in Hebrew, called the In-full spelling.

Here we find that both ‘God’ and ‘I am the Lord’ come to this number.

אלהים = God = 291 (In full)

אני יהוה = I am the Lord = 291 (In full)

The meaning of this correspondence, is quite simply that God is the Creator of the Earth, and by earth we mean the entire universe. The fact that these names were hidden in the In-full spelling is explained by this third correlation found in the book of Isaiah, now in the ordinal.

Isaiah 45:15

Thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Savior.

אתה אל מסתתר אלהי ישראל מושיע

= 291

When we discover numbers such as these hidden in the text it is typically the sign of a puzzle. The puzzle and solution of the Obadiah text, couldn’t be more simple. The 21 verses make a triangle, which when we use the number of words in each verse make a prophetic puzzle of the entire book.

Words of the 21 Verses of Obadiah

18

13 7

5 19 12

7 9 11 18

14 12 18 17 18

11 17 18 21 11 15

Red Interior = 86 = God (אלהים)

Black Perimeter = 205 = Jesus Christ (ΙΗΣΟΥΣ ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ)

This is a textbook mathematical puzzle. The two names and numbers couldn’t be any stronger in their associations. There is no name or concept in all Christian theology that could ever be considered stronger than the name of God in Hebrew and that of Jesus Christ in Greek. The puzzle has obvious Trinitarian implications and theologically display that the Hebrew God resided inside the human known as Jesus Christ. It is graphic depiction of the highest Christian theology.

The three corners of the configuration come to 44, which is the second correspondence to the Earth.

הארץ = The Earth = 44 (Ordinal)

We find something very similar in the number of letters in the book. Altogether there are 1120 letters. This number has only one strong theological association at this point, that being ‘Thy Holy Oracle’ from Psalm 28:2, now using the modern Hebrew values.

דביר קדשך = Thy Holy Oracle = 1120

It would appear that this may be a direct reference to the book of Obadiah, which begins with ‘The vision of Obadiah’ something prophetically very much akin to an oracle.

This number 1120 is also the sum of 10 Lord-Gods, the full name and title of God used throughout the Old Testament. This, of course, makes a triangle of ten names, ever suggestive of the Trinity.

Ten Lord-Gods 112 x 10 = 1120

יהוה אלהים

יהוה אלהים יהוה אלהים

יהוה אלהים יהוה אלהים יהוה אלהים

יהוה אלהים יהוה אלהים יהוה אלהים יהוה אלהים

= 1120

This most powerful couplet of names from the Old Testament hides within itself a puzzle of the Trinity. As there are 9 letters in the name, we can make a perfect square, when we do, we find two references to the Trinity of God.

ו ה י

ל א ה

ם י ה

Ordinal Cross = 33

Standard Cross = 51 = Trinity (Τριαδα)

When we form a triangle of these squares, equal in number to the book of Obadiah we find the perimeter of all 10 squares together are a reference to the Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth.

ו ה י

ל א ה

ם י ה

ו ה י ו ה י

ל א ה ל א ה

ם י ה ם י ה ם י ה

ו ה י ו ה י ו ה י ו ה י

ל א ה ל א ה ל א ה ל א ה

ם י ה ם י ה ם י ה ם י ה

Perimeter of all 10 squares = 1110

משיח יהושע הנוצרי = 1110 = Jesus of Nazareth Messiah

In most major puzzles there is usually a reference to the Three Seven Fractal of the first verse, a proto-pattern that is repeated numerically all throughout the Bible. Here it comes in the name of the author of this book, Obadiah himself.

עבדיה = Obadiah = 37 (Ordinal)

Yet another pattern is hidden in the book in the shape of the Star of David, that holy icon of the Lord God which has been found already in many key places of the Bible, including the first verse and the first 22 verses.

The first verse can make an extraordinarily powerful puzzle by inverting its triangular shape and merging together to form a Star of David. We can do that here by using the same number of letters of the first verse (28 the 7th triangle) and adding to it another 28 to form an elementary star of 37 units the number of Obadiah’s name.

A 37 Type Star

● ●

● ● ● ● ● ● ●

● ● ● ● ● ●

● ● ● ● ●

● ● ● ● ● ●

● ● ● ● ● ● ●

Since this new star is composed of two 28 unit triangles it now is a star of 56 units.

28 + 28 = 56

56 + 56 = 112

יהוה אלהים = Lord God = 112

This then means we can make 20 Stars of David from all the letters of the Book of Obadiah. The 20 here can also mean David himself, using the Greek ordinal. This is clue and provocation to make our 20 unit Star of David.

Δαβιδ = David = 20 (Ordinal)

Using our 37 Type stars we can make a double triangle of two 10 unit triangles, thus making Obadiah into a large Star of Stars.

THE STAR OF STARS OF OBADIAH

Each Alef the Hebrew letter ‘A’ in the above configuration represents a letters of the book of Obadiah. The stars in the center hexagon represent double stars.

Undoubtedly, if and when the book of Obadiah is mathematically analyzed using this configuration as a guide it will produce highly improbable correspondences placed there by the Holy Spirit.
