Preheat oven to 400.
Drain sweet potatoes, reserving 1/4 c liquid.
Place potatoes and reserved liquid in casserole. Cut potatoes into chunks.
Cover generously with brown sugar. Dot with butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
Bake 45 minutes.
The brown sugar will make a syrup. You may want to spoon this liquid over potatoes 2 or 3 times during cooking.
If potatoes appear to be drying out, lay a piece of foil across the top.
If they dont seem to be baking fast enough, raise temperature to 450.
Get the short fat can of otatoes. If you get a tall can, add more brown sugar.
