Ingredients

• 2 cups dry red wine
• 2 tablespoons salad oil
• 2 teaspoons salt
• 1 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
• 1/4 teaspoon thyme leaves
• 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
• 1 garlic clove

Instructions

In saucepot or Dutch oven, mix all ingredients; add venison or other game; cover and refrigerate overnight or as recipe directs.
