Switch
Speedrunning research for the Switch remake of SMRPG is currently underway. The goal for this page is to eventually make it as comprehensive as the SNES content in this wiki, as soon as the community has collectively decided on a definitive route that should not be subject to continuous micro-optimizations until a new major discovery is found.
The SNES and Switch releases of SMRPG are different enough to lend themselves to very fundamentally different speedruns, and you are encouraged to try both if you're already interested in one or the other.
Please feel free to browse the community's progress on the development of SMRPG Remake as a speedgame:
Follow along with route development with the documents on the Current routes page.
Learn and study technical skills that will help you save time on the Miscellaneous videos page.
You may want to review the Action Commands (Timed Hits) page for any whose visual cues are tricky for you. Although the game provides an indicator, it goes away eventually and only comes back after you mess up too much, and you probably don't want to mess up action commands in a speedrun.
Contribute to the development of the speedrun by experimenting with our Damage Calculation and EXP Calculation simulators, as well as our enemy/item/attack database.
