Ethel Mary Hope was born 29 July 1886 at Boikerbert, in far Western Victoria. After her mother's death, Ethel was reared by her maternal grandmother, Elizabeth (Annie) Robertson.

On 22 January 1905, in the Edenhope Presbyterian Church, she married Robert William Marr (1883-1961), one of six children of John Robert Marr and Sarah Whittingham.

Interestingly, after John Robert Marr (1859-1890) died, his wife Sarah later married James Robertson (see section on Family Robertson) for more information.

Ethel died 21 October 1949 at Edenhope, Victoria.

Robert and Ethel Marr had 5 children. They being (with LINKS):

Regretably, I have no further information about the life and times of Ethel and Robert Marr.
