Catherine Euphemia (Effie) Hope was born on 4 Oct 1921 at Casterton, Victoria to Thomas Hope and his wife Mary Anne McDonald.

On 29 November 1939, in Melbourne, Effie married Lewis Leigh Hammond (1914-1997) of Wanganui, New Zealand. For most of their life, the family lived in Hamilton, Western Victoria. Effie and Lewis had 7 children.

Effie died 17 April 2014 at Warrnambool, Victoria.

Regretably, I have no further information about Effie Hope or her family.
