Singapore Police Force, Volunteer Special Constabulary (VSC)

Ryan is an active Volunteer Special Constabulary (volunteer police) from the Singapore Police Force since 2012. He has more than 10 years of experiences in policing duties. And he has also received numerous awards from the organisation:

• High Commitment Award 2019
• High-Performance Award 2015 - 2018
• Commander's Award 2016 & 2017
• SPF Service Champion 2013

He always reminded himself that he has to be humble and regardless of how experienced he was, he still has to constantly to learn from other officers and to acquire more knowledge. In addition, he has been appointed as Police Defence Tactics (PDT) trainer to provide training for the police officers. He had also been appointed as a career advisor in police recruitment activities.

Apart from maintaining law and order, he loves to engage with the community. He felt that it is an excellent opportunity to bridge between the member of the public (MOP) and the police force to enhance the relationship between them. On the same time, he can educate the member-of-public regarding the latest trends and prevent crimes from happening.
