Rear Chassis Brace Installation

Difficulty: 1/5

Time to install: 10 mins

Tools Required: Socket and Ratchet set, wrench set, Rhino Ramps or Jackstands (Optional)

These subframe braces were originally designed and sold by Brainstorm Performance, which is now defunct. However, they are now being sold by 949Racing. They are particularly useful for NA Miatas. For NBs, if your car already has a brace on the bottom of the subframe, this really isn't needed.

Rear bar and a 14mm socket are needed. The rear of most Miatas is high enough for some people to get under without the use of Rhino Ramps or jackstands.

Put the bar bolts through the first set of holes just above the alignment bolt (the bolt at the bottom of the picture with the tick marks on it).

Put the washer and fasten the 14mm nut.
