09. Short Reminder

Short Workflow Reminder :

1. Copy the videos into the Video folder - Automatically with Win7 Auto-play or manually with a drag and drop.
2. Have a look at your videos with AFP Media Viewer and decide on the order you want to edit them. To tag a rush that you want to put in the basket press “1”. To untag it, press “1” again. To put in the temporary bin the rushes that you don’t want, press “3”
3. Run Windows Live Movie Maker, drop your selection to it, prune the bad part, save your movie to the Desktop.
4. Launch Avidemux to compress your movie: Drag and drop this movie to Avidemux, choose the type of compression you need in the "Custom" menu
5. Once the video is compressed, it goes into the “Rushes” channel of the Media Viewer.
6. Open the FTP (on the left at the bottom of media viewer) and select the right FTP webclip destination (left of FTP-AFP). It is important to select the destination before to send a webclip if not you can have a bug in the FTP.
7. To write the dopesheet, select the compressed video in the Media Viewer, then click on the “T” button (or F12) on the top right of Media Viewer. Fill up the form completely with the shotlist. (You can copy and paste the caption of a photo you already sent on the same subject).
8. You still need to send the mail to your webclip address copying the caption and shotlist as a precaution to put attention on.
