For Windows & Mac Download this package and unzip it on the desktop. PC users should utilize the .exe files, while Mac users should employ the .py files
Plus Mac users need to install the Pyhton Library: On your Mac go to the Portal Manager or Ivanti (the AFP Appstore) to install it
Place a .n, .xml, or .txt file (originating from Iris, Photomechanics, ShutterSnitch, or AFP reporter) into the newly created "My List Of Names" folder.
Duble-click "Normalyser" application. This action will generate a new .tsv file. This .tsv file mirrors your original list but includes transformed information—removing accents, converting Country ISO codes, creating abbreviations, etc.
Following that, double-click on "Listmaker." This application will process the recently created .tsv file and produce 4 new files in .n, .xml, .txt, and .tsv formats. These files are immediately usable in your photo editing software.
Launch Iris
From the Help-list tab, Export any lists of names (with .n extension) into My-Lists-of-Names folder
3. Open My Lists of Names folder, Double-clic 1-Normalizer (On a Mac, when the file is double clicked it opens the editor. Lo Launch the program Go to RUN > Run Module)
The new .tsv file is generated
4. Double click 2-List maker to make .n file, a .txt file and a .xml file
The files with the extension .txt are ready to be used in Shuttersnitch and PhotoMechanics
The files with the .xml extensions are for AFP-Reporter
Then, if you work with
--> SHUTTERSNITCH Put the .txt files in https://www.icloud.com/iclouddrive/ > ShutterSnitch > Code Replace
--> AFP-REPORTER Put the .xml files in C:\AFPReporter\Profiles\List
--> PHOTOMECHANICS Menu Edit > Settings > Set code replacement. Then choose a character to trigger the sequence
The program also automatically generate shortcuts inside the list based on the first letter of the name and surname (This is the way ShutterSnitch works)
NOTE: If you want to convert a .txt to another type then you need 2 spaces between the Title and the Name of the person (2 spaces is the separator)
Should you wish to create a list for Iris or any photo editing software, using data sourced from a website or PDF or Doc or Wiki.
