About IPED
IPED draws together content from more than one hundred different peer review publications. The most significant sources of articles are:
- PS: Political Science and Politics
- Journal of Political Science Education
- International Studies Perspectives
- European Political Science
- Politics
- Teaching Public Administration
- Teaching Political Science
Articles are included if they are identified as having been published in a peer review journal and address questions relating to the teaching and learning of politics, international relations and related fields. Conference papers and book chapters on teaching and learning politics are not included in IPED. PSA conference papers and edited collections are listed separately under the resources section of this website. Articles published early online are not currently included.
The thematic lists used to categories articles included in IPED reflect the use of terminology within the field and the literature. For a category of articles to be included within IPED, at least fifteen citations should be identified and from a range of different journals and years. Categories are reviewed each year and may be changed, added or deleted. For example, in 2013: e-learning has been renamed Technology Enhanced Learning and has been split into two categories (pre and post 2000) reflecting the different technologies used at different times.
IPED is edited by John Craig (j.craig@leedsbeckett.ac.uk). Please contact John with any comments, ideas for development or questions. It replaces the previous list of teaching and learning journal articles hosted by the PSA Teaching and Learning Group which was developed by John Craig, Simon Lightfoot and Volha Piotukh.
