Virtual Library

Many books have been loaded;virtual library has been setup, and will soon be available.

At IIIE in Islamic University, we created a virtual library which enabled the entire faculty to access

thousands of books in electronic format directly from their desktop. I have given instruction to our

computer personnel to replicate this locally at PIDE. For those who do not like to read books on their

computer (all of us old fashioned people), there is another solution available: KINDLE, and other E-

Book Readers. Kindle is especially designed to replicate the experience of reading normal books,

with black ink on white page and no backlighting. The virtual library allows one to download any

book desired onto the reading device, which can be carried around and treated like books. This also

solves the problem of what to pack for a vacation, since a veritable library of reading materials fits

onto a single small device. Khurram Iqbal has been given the task of setting it up on our PIDE LAN.
