This recipe is one I have developed and used so often over the years, especially for egg rolls, but it is also ideal for a chicken or pork sauce, paired with a stir fry meal. It's so tangy and I love it because it's not overloaded with sugar.
1 1/2 cups crushed pineapple. with juice ( I have also substituted chunky applesauce for the pineapple, and it tastes fabulous)
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
Mix together, bring to simmering. Remove from heat. Serve warm or cold
