This cake competes with "Cookie Cake" for the favored Birthday cake!!
One Devil's Food cake mix
3.9 oz. chocolate instant pudding mix
2 cups sour cream
1 cup melted butter
5 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Combine everything except chocolate chips and mix in in large bowl at slow speed for one minute; then 2 minutes at medium speed. Fold in chocolate chips.
Grease and flour bundt cake pan; pour in cake batter. Place in preheated oven of 350 . Bake 60 minutes. Use spring test or toothpick test to check for d.
Cool 5 minutes before inverting onto cake rack. Cool before icing.
COOKED CHOCOLATE ICING:
1 cup granulated sugar
5 Tablespoons butter
1/3 cup whole milk
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Place sugar, butter and whole milk over medium-high heat. Stir until mixture comes to a boil, 3-4 minutes. Keep stirring and let the mixture boil until sugar dissolves, about one minute. Remove from heat. Stir in 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips until smooth. Let frosting set and cool slightly before spooning over cooled, inverted cake.
