An excellent dip for apples. Perfect treat for ice cream, and drizzled over cinnamon rolls!
2 cups whipping cream, divided
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup karo syrup
1/2 cup butter
In medium sized heavy bottomed sauce pan, stir ingredients together with HALF the cream, making sure sugar gets dissolved. Stir on medium heat until mixture boils; add the second cup of cream, stir. Boil gently to the soft/medium ball stage. Store indefinitely in fridge.
