Getting Started
Den Meetings (when just one age group meets - with the Den Leader) are normally held every Tuesday except for Pack meetings and when there are specific outings.
To verify meeting times, you can check the calendar here.
What is the Cost of Joining?
Don't let the cost scare you off. It's not that expensive compared to other types of recreational activities and you child will learn more.
The annual fee is $83.00. The $83 is broken down like this, BSA's Annual Membership fee is $33.00 and the Pack membership fee is $50.00 (25 to the Pack and 25 goes to the scouts account. A new uniform runs $100.00 (depends) but the shirt is good for several years, so uniform costs do go down as you move through the ranks, and the book will run between $12-$20 depending on the style. The Scout Account is used to purchase Belt loops and Patches as he moves through his rank completion. The pack fees help cover the costs of providing all the activities and meals we do with the scouts with no additional cost to you.
We are not worried about the fees being paid up front. We can work with you. Scouting is actually quite reasonable considering all that your son will be doing throughout the year. Don't let the cost get in the way of your decision.
Pack Meetings are normally held once per month and all of our scouts (1st-5th grade) get together in the same place. The meeting is normally led by the Cubmaster. Keep an eye on the calendar for the date. You are welcome to stop by if you are considering joining the pack. We gear the meeting towards the kids and the goal is to have fun and recognize them for their recent accomplishments (with awards, pins, loops, badges, and whatever else we dream up).
When do we meet?
