Pack 89 Families,

Sorry I missed the meeting. I understand that the Dens are moving full speed ahead and heard that the Bears had an awesome visit to the Suffolk Sherriff’s office – and better yet, Den Leaders Justin Day and Matt Catt left with the same number of Bears that that they entered with! Also, the Blackbirds and Hawks had a blast at Klondike and while some may prefer a true Klondike “Cold” experience, Saturday’s weather made for a great time in the sun!

1) Scout Sunday (4 Feb) National Scout Sunday is Sunday, February 4^th. THIS WEEKEND! If you have a church, please be sure to wear your sharpest Class A uniform and be on your best behavior. Let your ministers know what the day is (I bet they do already) and show them A Scout is Reverent. If you can spare a Sunday away from your home church, I urge you to attend one of our other homes, Glebe Episcopal at 10:00 a.m. or Berea Christian at 11:00 a.m. Next Sunday (the 11^th) we’ll go to Beech Grove for the United Methodist Church Scout Sunday (9:30 a.m. or 11 a.m. services). This way we can show our host churches just how much we appreciate their support throughout the year.

2) Den Meeting! (6 Feb) Only three more meetings until Blue and Gold!

3) Pinewood Derby Car Clinic II! (10 Feb) We had to move our second Pinewood Derby Clinic. Exact hours to be determined.

4) Methodist Church Scout Sunday (11 Feb) If you can spare a Sunday away from your home church, I urge you to attend Beech Grove United Methodist Church’s Scout Sunday (9:30 a.m. or 11 a.m. services). Beech Grove is our Charter Organization and is a great supporter of the Pack. Let’s show them how much we appreciate their support throughout the year. Sharpest Class A uniforms!

5) Pack Meeting! (13 Feb) 6:30 pm. Our first Pack Meeting of 2018 – time to see what you all have learned!

6) Pact 89 Pinewood Derby! (17 Feb) Time to put all of that hard work to the test and see who is really the fastest. The races are held at Driver Elementary and we will be setting up in the afternoon of Feb 16 and we can always use an extra pair of hands. The Derby takes up most of the day on Saturday. However, each Den has specific race times – details on race times to follow. See the rules under the Pinewood Derby Page.

7) Den Meeting! (20 Feb) Only two more meetings until Blue and Gold!

8) Den Meeting! (27 Feb) Final Den meeting before Blue and Gold, we are in the home stretch!
