Pack 89 Families,
Are you all ready?! We are in the home stretch for 2017! Our last Pack Meeting of the year is next week. Some quick notes on what we have going on.
1) New Pack Website! We have a redesigned website --- www.bsapack89.com Many thanks to Matt Catt for getting this done for us. We hope it will be a useful resource for general questions about the Pack and what we are doing. Take a look and let us know what you think!
2) Recharter! Done! Yeehah!
3) Tiger Den Donations. (12 Dec) NEW INFO! Remember that the Tigers are taking donations for the Suffolk Animal Shelter – our upcoming Pack Meeting is your last chance to donate. See the updated and more detailed list below:
4) Pack Meeting! (12 Dec) Here’s your chance to be recognized for what you’ve earned and show off your new awards. New Bobcats, remember to bring your moms and a Band-Aid so we can give you your first rank award. Full Class A uniforms for all, but no hats.
5) Christmas Carols at Maryview (19 Dec) Our Pack has been invited back to sing Christmas Carols at the Inpatient Rehabilitation Center at Maryview Hospital. I will have the sign-up sheet out at the Pack Meeting. This is a family friendly affair. The event will run from about 6:30 pm. to 7:30 pm. and we will meet there.
6) No Meeting! (27 Dec) Hope Santa was good to everyone! No school, no scouts. Have Happy New Year. We’ll jump right back into scouting in January – and we have a lot planned for next year!!! Calendar Attached.
7) Ruritan BBQ Chicken Dinner! (27 Jan) NEW INFO! Early Bird gets the . . . Bird? Anyway, just getting the word out that our local Driver Ruritans Club is putting on one of its 2 chicken dinners sales of the year on the same weekend as Klondike (for the Webelos). This is a ticket only event (no walk-ups) so see Jeff Ward, Bill Wulfkuhle, or Vince Caravello if you want a dinner as they are selling tickets. The Driver Ruritans support our Pack, the Girl Scouts, and are the Chartered Organization for Troop 16’s Boy Scouts. Their fund raisers flow right back to our units to keep the programs strong. All you need to do is Eat More Chicken! That’s easy to do since the Ruritans are experts at this.
