IMCA New Models Stock Cars Visit the Columbus Junction Fairgrounds 1964

Back when the MVSC stock cars were going, they were not the only Stock cars to visit Columbus Junction at least. I remember as a child during the Louisa County Fair the IMCA new model stock cars would make a visit. Usually the crowd would not be quite as big as the MVSC races. This was a special race for me as it was the only time I saw these new model cars race that looked like the cars we drove on the road. Since my folks drove Plymouths Ernie Derr and Ramo Stott were cheered for by us. When I was 10 almost 11 is probably my first memory of seeing an IMCA new model race and that would of been in 1966. So I don't remember that we went to this race that Kyle Ealy shared info about on his wonderful Midwest Racinig archive website.
