Guiding Questions
Based on your knowledge of dating and the 1950s, explain what "mistakes" Holden made on his date with Sally Hayes?
Also, and more importantly, how does Holden's behavior on his date reflect his struggles at this point in his life?
Develop a Skit or Conversation With Holden and One Other Person.
A) Present Holden's point of view on the date
B) Present a response by a person who has talked to Sally Hayes and has a few things to tell Holden. This person may be one of the following people:
1) Phoebe

In your skits you should include the following:

Present details from the novel that help illustrate the conflicts
Present details from Holden's date with Sally Hayes
Remember, this is the 1950s
