Do this as one scene.
Write a scene from the perspective of something other than a person involved in the scene.
DIRECTIONS: Imagine a scene with some emotional depth to it--a wedding, a break up, an intervention of some kind, an accident--and tell it from the perspective of something other than a person involved. You could be a pet, a television, a toaster, a mailbox, etc...
If you need help coming up with an idea, start off with a break from the routine. For example, a groom shows up to his wedding with half of his head shaved, or his mother cries so loudly no one can stand it.
Have fun looking at the scene from this unexpected perspective. Since mailboxes and toasters can be naive, perhaps this is an opportunity to create a little dramatic irony. At the very least you will have given yourself a unique perspective on your scene.
