Part 2: Weather vs. Climate
Weather and climate are not the same. Write the following definitions in your journal.
Weather = the state of the atmosphere at a particular time and place. Weather includes the temperature, wind, humidity, precipitation, and pressure.
Climate = weather patterns over time or general weather patterns in an area.
Write two sentences, one using weather properly and one using climate properly.
Draw a Venn diagram (two intersecting circles) and fill it in for weather and climate.
Part 3: Lincoln High Weather Station
On the roof of Lincoln High School (LHS), a few blocks away from Stevens Middle School, is a professional-grade weather station that is used by scientists in our community. This station sends a weather report online every few minutes to the following sites:
