Complete the Silly Science sheet using a bag of objects.
Part 5: Foam Classification
Watch the Dichotomous Keys Introduction PowerPoint.
Create a dichotomous key on a whiteboard for the foam objects provided.
With the whiteboard in landscape orientation, make a large oval at the top for "all foamies"
Create 2-3 smaller ovals below this for your first round of separation, and label each oval.
Repeat step 2 as many times as you need to get the items separated into piles of 1-2 objects.
Trade objects and dichotomous keys with another table group to test if your key works.

2. Then, evaluate the resources in one paragraph. In your evaluation, give your opinion on how appropriate the material from them would be for the rest of class, judge the pros and cons of them, and predict how well students will do with the them.
3. Then, write a paragraph with a recommendation for whether the resources should be used by the full class in the future.
