On November 3rd I was able to attend 2 English classes (2ndo J and 1ero H). They were the first ones that I could attend and observe. They were also the only ones that I could take part in as a student-teacher and observe them. At first, I had other plans with the guide teacher and my schedule in the school but because of external reasons, I had to make my intervention and supervision right away and at the last minute. It's important to mention as well, that the school only had English lessons for their students one day every two weeks.
It was the first class that I attended that day. I was pretty nervous but excited at the same time. The guide teacher let me introduce myself to the class and we talked a little bit. Then the guide teacher explained to the students once again the final project that they had to do for their English class, which was a comic related to the COVID-19 situation around the world. She mostly used the whole hour in that, they didn't have any new contents or unit to check or work in, they only needed to do that comic and finish the class. The students only talked in the chat and there were like 10 of them connected at that time. They only asked questions related to the work that they had to do. My guide teacher also explained to them how their school was going to work next year. And that was it basically. I couldn't make notes about OATs or skills that were used during that lesson because there wasn't one.
The class lasted about 1 hour and the guide teacher didn't have a lesson prepared because the students had to make a blog about their own selves. There were approximately 12 students connected at that time. When the class started, my guide teacher introduced me and she let me talk about myself with the students. After that, the guide teacher talked almost the whole hour about the blog and repeated the instructions for the students that didn't know how to make it. They didn't have any specific contents to check or units to review, the teacher only gave them that project to finish their English semester at school. She also explained to the students how their school was going to work next year. The students didn't talk, they only wrote in the chat and rarely interacted with the teacher directly. Only one student turned on their camera but only for some minutes at the end of the class. I couldn't identify their main focus of the class, named their OATs included in the lesson (because technically there was no lesson or content to check), describe how the students understood the OATs, or describe their collaboration activities.
