Hello
My name is Magdalena Acuña. I am twenty one years old and I am from Chillán. I am currently living in Concepción because I am studying at San Sebastian University. My major is in English Pedagogy and I am on my second year. I will be doing my practice number III with a classmate, Claudia Villar. This practice takes place in The Pacific School in Chiguayante. My guide teacher assigned me a 9° grade. This class is the youngest group of students that I have ever had so I am excited to work with them. For what I have seen, the students are a little bit louder than usual but I think that I am going to adapt well.
If we talk about a sucessful English class, I think that almost all the responsabilty goes to the teacher. The way that he or she uses different abilities or techniques for a better learning experience can affect directly in the final result of an English class. For me, an English teacher should motivate their students and make them see that learning a new language is useful for their future.
A good English teacher should be capable of making an interesting class for the students. One of the most important things is to talk about relatable topics that could earn the interest of the class. For me, another point is being kind and understand each one of the student's situation. Never forget that they are humans too.
