How your initial pre conceptions have changed after this period and your new beliefs regarding your role as learning collaborators and teacher: teaching English in English; Dialogic Pedagogy and its principles; personal beliefs and preconceptions stated in Cover letter.
At the start of the semester, when the lockdown started and we had to begin the year with online classes, I was really exceptical about the course in general and my role as a learning collaborator. Mostly because I didn’t believe that we could create trustworthy content for schools. I even wrote in my cover letter that because of what is happening in the world right now, my expectations weren’t fulfilled but I think that when I wrote that, I didn’t knew about the creation of the KITs and how it would affect positively my role as a learning collaborator and teacher teaching English in English. When we refer to dialogic pedagogy, we mostly think in how it works physically, at least that was my first thought when people talked to me about it. I imagined each learning collaborator with their own little group of students working in different activities in each station, but that’s just what you see. Know, when someone talks about dialogic pedagogy I think about its principles, how important is for this method to have a space where everyone is equal and have the same opportunity to learn. This is something that you can create in an online class without problems.
