Lights in the Darkness
For quite a while Mele kept on asking me to prepare for him a black canvas. May be I don't like black or I have a prejudice, I thought a black canvas would be just a big mess... so I waited a lot before making one. But the kid had very clear ideas, he painted with a very big brush and then with hands. Colours are well defined and separated, but united by yellow and gold. I don't know precisely what this painting represents.
