This painting titled 'Finding Home' is the latest by Subha Chaudhari. She is an expressionist painter and likes to experiment with the Impasto style. She dedicates this latest painting to all who have lost their lives, homes, and identities to violence and intolerance around the world.

I am not an art expert, but I love the butterflies that look like little specks of gorgeous innocence that stand out in the turmoil. Will they make it home? May be with a little help from the rest of us. Subha says that this is the first in a series of paintings that will be featured in a fund raiser. The proceeds, of course, will go to charity. Please visit her page for more wonderful art work and to support a good cause.

The second painting in the series is out too:

What do you think of it?

Personally, I love the delicate little flower and the far away land of skyscrapers.

Check in here regularly and I will keep you updated about the fund raiser. In the mean time enjoy the art.

Subha's work is also featured in one of the Tania series books, Tania Visits An Art Exhibition. Check it out if you or your kids enjoy art. It is an interesting read at any age, even if I do say so myself :)
