They had issue, including:
1) Abū Bakr aṣ-Ṣiddīq `Abdullāh ibn Abī Quhāfah at-Taymī - see below
1) Umm Farwah bint Abi Quhafah at-Taymī. She married Ash`ath ibn Qays, Ruler of the Hadhramaut and had issue:
1) Muḥammad ibn Ash`ath, who had issue:
1) Abd ur-Raḥmān ibn Muḥammad. Rebelled against the Umayyads, claiming the Caliphate in 700 but was killed in 704. He married Mulaykah bint Yazid al-Azdi, daughter of Yazīd ibn al-Muhallab al-Azdī, Umayyad General, Deputy Governor of Khorasan (701-704), Governor of Iraq (715-718) & of Khorasan (716-719), who rebelled against the Umayyads claiming the Caliphate and was killed in 720.
632 - 634 Abū Bakr aṣ-Ṣiddīq `Abdullāh ibn Abī Quhāfah at-Taymī, First Rashidun Caliph. Born at Mecca, 572. Known as al-`Atīq (the handsome). A Cloth Merchant before the coming of Islam he was, according to Sunnis, the first male convert to Islam. He was one of the Prophet Muḥammad's closest associates throughout his life, famously hiding in a cave with him during the Prophet's flight to Medina, and fought in many battles against the pagans at Mecca. After Muhammad's death he was acclaimed Caliph with the help of `Umar (who was to be the second Caliph). He led the Hajj (pilgrimage) in 631 & 633 and died in 634. He married (first) (divorced following his conversion to Islam) Qutaylah bint 'Abd al-'Uzzā al-Qurayshī an 8th generation descendant of Lu`ayy ibn Ghālib, married (second) Umm Rūmān Zaynab ibn 'Amir, who also married `Abdallāh ibn Harith, and died in 628. He married (third) Asmā` bint Umays who also married Ja`far ibn Abī Talib, brother of the fourth Rashidun Caliph, born 590, Islamic Envoy to Ethiopia, Islamic Warrior and died 629. He married (fourth) Habībah ibn Khārijah al-Hārith ibn al-Khazraj. He had issue, including:
1) `Abdallāh ibn Abī Bakr at-Taymī, an Islamic Warrior. Died 633 (son of Qutaylah).
2) `Abd ur-Raḥmān ibn Abī Bakr at-Taymī (son of Umm Rūmān), who married Quraybah ibn Abī Umayyah al-Makhzūmī, who also married the second Rashidun Caliph. He had issue, including:
a) `Abdullāh ibn `Abd ir-Raḥmān at-Taymī, who had issue:
i) 'Imrān ibn `Abdillāh at-Taymī, who had issue:
(1) `Umar ibn 'Imrān at-Taymī, a source to at-Tabarī
a) Ḥafṣah bint 'Abd ir-Raḥmān at-Taymī, who married Ḥasan ibn 'Alī al-Hashemī, Second Shi`a Imam and briefly Fifth Rashidun Caliph with opposition.
3) Muḥammad ibn Abī Bakr at-Taymī. Born 631, Governor of Egypt (657-658), died in Egypt 658. (son of Asmā`) He had issue:
a) Al-Qāsim ibn Muḥammad at-Taymī. Islamic Jurist and Narrator of Hadith (Stories of the Prophet), died 723. He had issue:
i) Umm Farwah bint al-Qāsim at-Taymī, who married Muḥammad al-Baqir ibn `Alī al-Hashemī, the Fifth Shi`a Imam and had issue.
4) Qāsim ibn Abī Bakr at-Taymī (son of Habībah)
1) Asmā` Dhāt an-Nitāqayn bint Abī Bakr at-Taymī (daughter of Qutaylah), who married Abū `Abdallāh Zubayr ibn al-'Awwām al-'Asadī, a companion of the Prophet, Islamic General, Member of the council which chose the third Rashidun Caliph, killed fighting for 'Ā'ishah at the Battle of the Camel in 656. She died 693 but had issue:
a) Abū Khubayb `Abdullāh Ibn az-Zubayr al-'Asadī. Rashidun General, claimed the Caliphate following Husayn ibn `Alī's death and exercised effective control over the Hejaz (680-692), He led the Hajj every year from 683 until 690. Killed in battle 692. He had issue, including:
i) Hamzah ibn `Abdillāh al-'Asadī. Briefly Zubayrid Governor of Basra (687).
b) Mus`ab ibn az-Zubayr al-'Asadī. Zubayrid Governor of Palestine (684-685), Medina (685-687), Basra (687, 687-690) & Kufa (687-690). Killed in battle 690 at Basra. He had issue, including:
i) `Īsā ibn Mus`ab al-'Asadī. Fought for Ibn Zubayr and killed in battle 690.
ii) `Umar ibn Mus`ab al-'Asadī. Died 690.
c) Urwaḥ ibn az-Zubayr al-'Asadī. Prominant Islamic Jurist, Narrator of Hadith and Author. Died 713. He had issue, including:
i) Hishām ibn Urwaḥ al-'Asadī. A Narrator of Hadith.
ii) `Uthmān ibn Urwah al-'Asadī. He had issue:
(1) Mus`ab ibn `Uthmān al-'Asadī. A source to at-Tabarī.
d) `Ubaydullāh ibn az-Zubayr al-'Asadī. Zubayrid Governor of Medina (682-685).
2) `Ā'ishah bint Abī Bakr at-Taymī, called Umm ul-Mu'minīn (Mother of the Believers) (daughter of Umm Rūmān). She married the Prophet Muḥammad as his twelfth wife. She was a Narrator of Hadith and fought against `Alī following the death of the Third Rashidun Caliph but was defeated in 656 the Battle of the Camel. She died 678.
3) Umm Kulthūm bint Abī Bakr at-Taymī (daughter of Asmā`).
4) Umm Kulthūm bint Abī Bakr at-Taymī (daughter of Habībah), born 634. She married (first) Abd ur-Raḥmān ibn `Abdillāh al-Makhzūmī, nephew of Khālid Safy ul-Lāh ibn al-Walīd al-Makhzūmī, a prominant general and the architect of the Islamic conquest of Syria and Iraq. She married (second) Ṭalḥah ibn `Ubaydillāh at-Taymī, born 597, merchant, prominant companion of the Prophet, prominant Islamic General, Member of the council which chose the third Rashidun Caliph, killed fighting for `Ā'ishah at the Battle of the Camel in 656. She had issue by Ṭalḥah:
a) Zakariyya ibn Ṭalḥah at-Taymī.
b) Yusuf ibn Ṭalḥah at-Taymī.
c) Muḥammad ibn Ṭalḥah at-Taymī, who had issue, including:
i) Ibrāhīm ibn Muḥammad at-Taymī, who had issue, including:
(1) 'Imrān ibn Ibrāhīm at-Taymī, who had issue, including:
(a) Muḥammad ibn 'Imrān at-Taymī, who had issue, including:
(i) `Abdullāh ibn Muḥammad at-Taymī, who was appointed Chief Judge at Mecca in 777.
