the end (not necessarily the end of our lives…), is there still hope? Jacob and Joseph both requested to be buried in the Holy Land. Though it took a little while, Joseph finally was brought to the Holy Land. How is that significant? The Holy Land was so important to them that even though they couldn't get there in their lives, they needed to be their death. How do we see that in the movement? Movement members have been working towards our ideologies and goals for many years now, and now that they're not in the movement, how do they feel about their ideologies (and us achieving them - or not achieving them)? In terms of our search for a new social order? Many activists dedicated their lives to their cause, and their legacy still lives. These really famous people live on through what they fought for -- their values continue through their activist work -- their work lives on through those who were inspired by them -- we are still inspired by them to dream and to act. How are we thinking about our goals as those committed to social
justice and a better world, and how they will be actualized? And how will we actualize them? How do we plan to make change, how do we see it through, and how do we see past it? Do we ever see our goals as being completely achieved? How do we think towards the future in our today?
I know - I just asked a lot of big, crazy, and some existential questions, but I urge you to think about at least one. I know that was a lot of thoughts, but hey, I’m writing and running peulot 24/7 and now I can only think in probing question format.
