How do we act in times of crisis or when our lives are in danger ? Try to relate it to your own surroundings and think of how difficulties influence the way we choose to use (or give up) our values. Remind yourselves of promises you recently made and compare the ones you made to yourself to the ones you made to others/around others. Is one type or the other easier to keep? I wish us all to have a peaceful Shabat wherever we may be in the world, and that we recharge the energy it requires to keep digging those wells persistently, just like Itzhak, until we find the well of good intentions and harmony.
