This is what it means to me to be Jewish, and to celebrate Pesach in the world we live in today. What our families’ haggadahs look like communicate their values. It is time to make room for more narratives at the table.
Now some of you might be saying, “Rebecca, isn’t this an extremely loose interpretation for a very small amount of actual scripture?” And what I would tell you is that if I’ve learned anything about Judaism for the last twenty years of my life, it’s that the heart is the best interpreter of the Spirit of the Law.
