Cook about 8 ounces of spaghetti noodles, according to the package directions. Drain and toss with vegetable (or other) oil.
While cooking the spaghetti I steam over the spaghetti any vegetables I am adding to the lo-mein, such as 3/4 cup snow peas, 1 carrot, chopped, 2 stalks celery, chopped. These can be veggies of your choice.
Combine together in a small bowl:
1 1/2 Tablespoons oyster sauce
1 1/2 Tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
Mix this sauce together and set aside.
Place in skillet.
1/4 cup vegetable oil, heat and add in
1 teaspoon fresh minced ginger
l rough chopped medium onion
1/2 cup chopped red pepper (if desired)
when this has soften, add in
1 garlic clove, finely chopped.
As soon as this is cooked add the sauce mix, noodles and veggies to the skillet. Heat over medium temperature until completely warmed.
