Kefir Broccoli or Cauliflower Cheese Soup

Cook 2 small (about 10 oz) packages of frozen broccoli or cauliflower and drain. Chop into small pieces.

This will be added to the soup in the last step.

1/4 cup butter or margarine

1/2 cup chopped onion

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

3 cups chicken stock

2 cups kefir milk

1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

In a 4 quart pan melt the butter. Add onion and cook until tender.

Stir in flour, and continue stirring until mixed well and starts to cook.

Stir while adding chicken stock, kefir milk and worcestershire sauce.

Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes stirring until thickened (Do Not Boil).

Stir in cheese, add broccoli or cauliflower, heat until soup is hot but not

boiling.
