Sourdough Coffee Cake

Preheat oven 350 degrees, Bake for 35 minutes.

1 cup flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

3/4 cup sugar

1 cup sourdough starter

1/3 cup vegetable oil

1 egg

Sift dry ingredients together. add to well mixed wet ingredients.

You can add raisins, nuts of your choice. I add 1/4 cup pecan meal and 2 tablespoons wheat germ.

Mix this together well and place in a 9 inch GREASED and floured cast iron skillet. (You can use 9 inch spring form pan, also)

Topping

1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 stick butter or margarine

1 tablespoon flour

Crumble together, until about the size of peas. Cover batter with topping.

Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.
