All in all it was a good day! We got to save a couple of lifes and everyone pushed this calamity all around to the back of their heads... It's temporary, I know, but someone once told me that being sad all the time just makes us end up depressive. The secret, is to share the pain with very few people, with the ones that we blindly trust... They will most definitely support us even if they have nothing to say... even if they don't approve of our decisions...
Nobody is at reach now... I even recognize some of the bodies laying in the streets as people from where I work... Worked. (...gotta get used to that...) The ones that got away first, definitely spread out in different directions but... I don't think they made it... I believe the ones that made it out alive, are the ones that survived inside some building or some structure that have them enough protection.
I feel that instinctively, this group made this bunker their home and safe heaven. Tv went dark, cellphones and landlines lost their reception, no hard line power but only generators'... Doesn't look good! I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking this way... Help is not coming...
As I sigh, I got up and went inside...
As I went inside, the sound of a big commotion was coming louder and louder. I couldn't understand a word... Not really paying attention, I spoke as I entered the main room...
- Does anyone know where can I find a radio?
As I stood there at the entrance, no one looked my way. They were busy collecting supplies and grabbing sport bags, filling them up... somehow, everybody was assigned to a task...
- Hello?!
I tried to get their attention unsuccessfully... The kids noticed so they called me aside of all that ruckus...
- It's like you got the same idea! We found a radio! - Said the boy.
- Awesome! - I announced... - Any good stations?
- There was this nice woman that kept repeating the same, over and over again! - Said the young girl.
- What was the message? - I suspiciously asked.
- Here! ...listen yourself! We gotta go help them pack... Let's go Mary! - The boy grabbed the little girls hand and left my side.
I went outside again to hear it more clearly and undisturbed from the noise inside. I sit on some rock and turned it on... It was already tuned in and the message... well...
