As the hours progressed and the night shift change draws near, disaster fell upon the land. The peaceful tick-tack of a time-square small replica clock at the entrance was silenced by some fire alarm coming from the terrace. No need to call for help as the alarms are directly connected to the proper authorities. Almost every one was accounted for when things turned to the worst. First by fully shattering the avenue windows then by cracking the walls as rivers on a map were being drawn an unexpected quake stormed the place and almost everybody panicked and left.
The remainders courageously started digging the people from the now enclosed building. Meanwhile the unforgiving age that flows through the poor man's body kept him from helping them so call for help looked like the best thing to do.
But the fireman lines were busy, the hospitals also showed the same symptoms and any more other tries would be irrelevant as those tired eyes gazed at the hellish explosions occurring here and there and all around him when a new earthquake arrived. Afterwards, the land lines were simply dead. Upon turning his attention back to the blocked entrance the man stood still amazed with the hole that was dug up but more so with the fact that nobody was in sight.
Slowly approaching the building trying to figure out what happened something stroked him down...
