History in the Making - Part 11

As far as the eye can see destruction is present all around. No building is intact and the bodies of once upon a time people stand still against the floor and the rubble. It's definitely not a pretty sight... In fact, it feels like we're in a post war field presenting itself with only spread death and destruction.

Something resembling falling meteorites keeps raining down at a somewhat common passe. Whatever it is, seems like the biggest and closest of them are the ones creating the earthquakes we're feeling when they hit the ground. There's so many of them... In the distance, some even explode upon entering our atmosphere.

Suddenly, one of them started to look bigger and bigger as it comes closer but fortunately and in a split second, with almost no time to react, it fell right around the end the street we're walking in and that degraded my world even more...

At first it looked like it was just another fall with an earth shake, but soon after it was clear that it was a landscape changer as it opened up the street swallowing cars, bodies, destroyed buildings, trees... Whatever it gets in it's path just to end up hurting a fire hydrant... How ironic is that?

We both fell to the ground. A couple more scratches but I'm ok. That old man.. Not so much. A crack opened on one of his feet and then collapsed tapping him. We must get out of there... More are coming...
