Josh has been involved in educational technology research, design, and development for 15 years. His expertise is in the learner-centred design methods and he is co-editor of Routledge's 2013 Handbook of Design in Educational Technology. He is particularly interested in ways personal and mobile technologies can be used together with design methods to empower learners, promote greater self-direction, and facilitate more participatory learning design. Josh is also an experienced practising EFL teacher and trainer. He gave an invited talk on Mobile Assisted Language Learning for the Eurocall SIG in 2014.
